Frequently asked questions by our customers;
The boutique is located at 256 Chemin Bord-du-Lac-Lakeshore in Pointe-Claire in the West Island part of Montréal. The green building is just west of Cartier Avenue, on the South side, across from a city park. A private free parking is available for customers at the back of the building.
Business hours are Monday to Friday, between noon and 8pm. The store is closed on weekends. For better service, we recommend you call us to make an appointment prior to your visit.
An appointment is necessary for an eye test with the optometrist. For better service, un appointment is recommended for trying and choosing glasses, edging and mounting lenses, or repairing glasses.
An optometrist is usually on site on Mondays and Thursdays. Eye test consultations are available by appointment only. It is possible to book an eye test appointment for adults or children over 5 years old. For younger children, we recommend obtaining a referral for pediatric ophthalmology.
We can fill any valid prescription from an optometrist or ophthalmologist, issued in Québec or anywhere else, for adults as well as for children.
We can read the prescription in any pair of glasses and make an exact duplicate without performing a new eye test.
Depending on the prescription and the type of lenses needed, glasses can be ready inside of a few days for a simple prescription or approximately one week to 10 days for more complicated ones.
We can reuse a frame that would be in good shape, regardless of whether it was purchased in our boutique or elsewhere. We take measurements, order the new lenses while you keep using your glasses. When the lenses are ready, our on-site lab allows us to cut and mount lenses in your frames while you wait, usually within one hour.
All adult and children frames are guaranteed for 2 years against breakage under normal conditions of use. Anti-scratch and anti-reflective treatments are guaranteed for 2 years against manufacturing defects. Babies and children’s eyeglasses lenses are not guaranteed against scratches.
We have a very large selection of frames for babies, children, and teens. We regroup over 250 frames from many different collections on one floor dedicated to kids.
The Québec government’s financial assistance program See Better to Succeed offers a reimbursement of $250 following the purchase of eyeglasses or contact lenses for any child under the age of 18. A cheque is sent directly to the parent of an eligible minor child every 2 years, if glasses are still needed. We can help by filling the RAMQ online application form on your behalf. It is also possible to submit a claim for the extra amount not covered by this program to a private insurance plan.
We have been fitting all kinds of contact lenses for the past 45 years.
Prior to the purchase of contact lenses, a consultation and some measurements are scheduled. This meeting is followed by another appointment to try the sample lenses. A third appointment is needed for verification purposes.
